Nicknamed “the Bells” because of their shape, Maroon Peak and North Maroon Peak are both 14ers (14,000+ ft tall) towering over Maroon Lake in a glacier-carved valley outside of Aspen, CO.

This spot is special to me because it’s the starting point of the first backpacking trip I ever did with my sister back in 2017, the Four Pass Loop. We didn’t know what we were in for at the time, but the struggle was so worth it!
