Snowmass Lake can be found along the famous Four Pass Loop backpacking trail in the Maroon Bells-Snowmass Wilderness near Aspen, Colorado. Towering above the lake is Snowmass Peak, which is often confused with nearby Snowmass Mountain. Both are part of the Elk Mountains within the White River National Forest.

I hiked this 26-mile trail with my sister on our first backpacking trip together in 2017. This trek pushed me to my physical limit and sparked my fierce love of backpacking.
