When I lived in Louisville, CO, I used to come to South Boulder often to hike the Bear Canyon Trail (among many others) near NCAR. This painting shows the view from the trailhead in winter, early enough in the day that the Nordic skiers haven’t yet made tracks in the snow. This is one of many possible starting points for ascending Bear Peak and South Boulder Peak, the two highest peaks in Boulder.
