Bristlecone Pine print

$70.00

10 x 20” giclée print on velvet cotton rag paper.

Bristlecone pine trees are some of the longest-lived life forms on Earth. The oldest of this species, named Methuselah, has lived for more than 4,800 years, making it the oldest known individual of any species. Tolerant of harsh conditions, bristlecones do well in rocky, dry soils where most plants cannot grow, and fare poorly when cultivated.

Rising temperatures, mountain pine beetles and white pine blister rust threaten their populations, but these resilient trees will likely outlive us all.

A portion of proceeds is donated to the National Park Foundation.
