Grand Teton Sunrise

$5,500.00

24×36” acrylic on cotton canvas with solid pine wood frame. Hand signed and dated on the back. Certificate of Authenticity included.

On the second day of my solo trip to Grand Teton National Park in 2025, I got up early to watch the sunrise at Schwabacher Landing. The peaks were perfectly reflected in the calm clear water of the Snake River until a family of ducks swam by. The aspen trees were just starting to change color and I had a day of hiking ahead of me followed by a 9 hour drive to Glacier National Park. I was in heaven.

The Grand Tetons are fascinating for many reasons. They’re made of some of the oldest rocks in North America (2.5 billion years old), but their formation was relatively recent (10 million years ago). They have virtually no foothills, rising dramatically from the valley floor to create some of my favorite hiking in the country.
