Krummholz print

$20.00

5 x 5” giclée print on hot press cotton rag paper.

Krummholz  (from the German krumm, “crooked” and holz, “wood”) is a type of stunted, deformed vegetation found in subalpine regions, typically near the tree line. Shaped by continuous exposure to harsh winds and freezing temperatures, these hardy survivors commonly include Bristlecone pine, Engelmann spruce, lodgepole pine, and Subalpine fir. This painting is one of the few I’ve done with no reference photo; it represents the calm, quiet place I find inside myself in times of stress.

I donate a percentage of all proceeds to the National Park Foundation.
