While driving west on Arapahoe Ave heading into Boulder, Colordo one snowy winter morning, I had to stop and admire the bright pink hues of the rising sun on the snow-covered slopes of distant Long’s Peak. At 14,259 feet, Long’s Peak is the highest point in Rocky Mountain National Park. I snapped a photo which became the reference for this piece.
