Lower Yosemite Falls
Lower Yosemite Falls
24 x 30” acrylic on wood panel with maple floater frame.
Back in May, my dad and I took a short trip to the Yosemite valley. Seeing the waterfalls in full force with snowmelt flowing down from the high country was a sight to behold! We could hear the rumbling of the falls all the way from distant Glacier Point.
Yosemite falls is the highest waterfall in Yosemite National Park, dropping a total of 2,425 ft from the top of the upper falls. This piece depicts the lower falls, where the main village of the Ahwahneechee people indigenous to the Yosemite valley was located.
