This unusual view of Longs Peak in Rocky Mountain National Park is taken from above Chasm Lake at 11,760 ft. The Diamond is the sheer and prominent east face of Longs Peak, named for the shape of the cliff. It is a world-famous Alpine climb with a vertical gain of more than 900 feet, all above an elevation of 13,000 feet.
