Paradise Meadow
Paradise Meadow
8×10” oil on hardbord.
While traveling Going-to-the-Sun Road in Glacier National Park, Paradise Meadow is a popular spot to pull off and admire the view. Arriving at sunrise, I loved how the peaks of Mount Oberlin and Mount Cannon caught the morning sun, and sat down to paint. Going-to-the-Sun Road is visible on the right side of this piece; driving this road was nerve-wracking but I’ve done much worse (I’m looking at you, Mount Blue Sky)!
All of these mountains and valleys were carved by glaciers during the last ice age. It’s incredible to see such clear evidence of the power of water and time in shaping the landscape.
I donate a percentage of all proceeds to the National Park Conservation Association and the National Park Foundation.
Original paintings will be shipped within 10 business days. If you select local pickup during checkout I will reach out to you via email to coordinate.
