This piece was inspired by a summer afternoon hike around Boulder Valley Ranch, a beautiful patch of Open Space near my studio. A thunderstorm snuck up on me, and as I felt the first few raindrops, I looked across the pastures to see a gray curtain of rain approaching. The cool rain felt refreshing after the hot sun, and I found myself stomping through puddles, feeling like a kid again.
