Hidden Lake Overlook
Hidden Lake Overlook
8×10” oil on hardbord. UV reactive.
On one of my last days in Glacier National Park I decided to hike up to Hidden Lake Overlook at sunrise. I was rewarded with a stunning view of the rising sun highlighting the granite face of Bearhat Mountain and the distant glacial valleys. I painted as the sun rose, hearing stories from other hikers about the grizzly bear mother and cub they had encountered minutes ago on a nearby trail. Fortunately she chose a different route!
Hidden Lake is one of the most popular and accessible hikes in Glacier, so long as you’re able to find parking at Logan Pass. It was only 1.5 miles to the overlook with the option to continue down to the lake.
I donate a percentage of all proceeds to the National Park Conservation Association and the National Park Foundation.
Original paintings will be shipped within 10 business days. If you select local pickup during checkout I will reach out to you via email to coordinate.
