Iceberg Lake
Iceberg Lake
8×10” acrylic on paper, mounted on hardbord. UV reactive.
Iceberg Lake is one of my favorite hikes in Glacier National Park. I combined it with the Ptarmigan Tunnel trail for a 15-mile day of incredible views. The deep blue of the lake surrounded by a half-circle of towering peaks was breathtaking, and the cold water was great for my sore knees. I got a late start on this hike because a family of moose was blocking the beginning of the trail, holding up a group of hikers for an hour before they decided to move on. Up at the lake, I completed a sketch of this view but had to head back as the sun was setting, later finishing the painting in the studio.
I donate a percentage of all proceeds to the National Park Conservation Association and the National Park Foundation.
Original paintings will be shipped within 10 business days. If you select local pickup during checkout I will reach out to you via email to coordinate.
